This year Pieter Derks will provide a New Year’s Eve conference for NPO | Book & Culture

It is the first time that the comedian does the end-of-year show on television. Nothing is yet known about the content of the performance.

The 39-year-old Derks already made a New Year’s Eve conference for NPO Radio 1 in 2013. A few years earlier, he became known to a large audience through his weekly contributions in The world goes on. In 2013, Derks won the popular knowledge quiz The smartest person.

Last year Micha Wertheim organized the New Year’s Eve conference. Just like Derks, he had never done that before. In 2022, Claudia de Breij was responsible for the performance.
