It may feel a bit awkward, but in two days the World Cup will really start. In this post we tell you what the weather will be like during the first group match in the Netherlands.

Next Sunday, the host country Qatar will play the opening match against Ecuador and on Monday it will be our turn against Senegal. While we are dealing with the first pinpricks of winter here, it is anything but cold for the football players in Qatar.

Despite the fact that it is November, the temperature still rises to tropical values ​​on a regular basis. That will also be the case in the coming days. During the two training sessions that the Dutch national team is completing today, it will be a lot of sweat for the football players. The temperature rises to no less than 34 degrees. Next Monday during the first match of the Netherlands, the weather is a lot more pleasant. The Netherlands only comes into action after sunset. When the ball starts rolling, at 7:00 PM local time, the temperature is around 24 degrees. A moderate northwest wind blows and as usual in Qatar it remains dry. All in all, these are excellent conditions to play a match.

The other group matches will also all be played after sunset and for the time being the same type of weather is on the program.
