A group of underage boys had gone to the cinema on Friday evening, January 5, when they wanted to eat something in Herestraat after the film. On the Zuiderdiep the group is approached by two boys who want to see money. Three other boys join the two suspects.
When the group of seven does not immediately hand over money, one of the boys is hit on the head. A second victim is punched and kicked in the back. Ultimately, the victims hand over a small amount of money, after which the five suspects leave.
The police are looking for the two suspects suspected of assaulting the victims and extorting money. The first suspect is a boy with a dark skin color. He was wearing a black jacket with a yellow hoodie with a yellow hood underneath. He was also wearing light trousers and black shoes. The second suspect is a boy with a dark skin color. He was wearing a blue jacket from the Napajiri brand and dark trousers with white shoes underneath.
