‘State of the Netherlands’ enters Europe! ‘Stand of the Netherlands: Generation Europe’ is a spin-off of ‘Stand of the Netherlands: Generation Next’. Soon to be seen at Omroep WNL.

It is a journalistic program in which form and content complement each other, but above all in which the viewer gets to know the rest of the EU a lot better in the run-up to the elections for the European Parliament. In the broadcasts we meet millennials from other EU countries and have conversations with them about our differences and similarities – just like you can have when traveling. What do we ultimately prove to be masters in and what can we learn from them? Six countries, with a main question per episode that fits the topic the presenter can relate to. We shoot in locations characteristic of the country, such as Ireland, which is one of the most prosperous countries in the EU, but where at the same time the housing crisis is rampant.

We also go to France, where depopulation is becoming an increasingly urgent theme on the political agenda, and we travel to Italy, where the labor market is nothing like ours. For example, they have no official minimum wage and no social assistance benefit there. In short, this new program gives you a completely different picture of countries where we normally only find ourselves as holidaymakers or expats. This is ‘State of the Netherlands: Generation Europe’.

‘State of the Netherlands: Generation Europe’, can be seen weekly from Thursday, April 25 at 9:05 PM on NPO 2.
