Henderson misses Classic; Brobbey, Berghuis, Sutalo question marks

Jordan Henderson will miss the match against Feyenoord. Ajax head coach John van ‘t Schip reported this at the press conference. Brobbey, Berghuis and Sutalo are still question marks for De Klassieker on April 7.

Henderson was brought in last winter as a lifesaver for the ailing Ajax, but has had little impact so far. “Henderson has suffered a setback. He was injured a day before the international match against Belgium. He will continue to recuperate in England for a week in consultation with the medical staff. It is expected that he will miss the next three matches, but we hope that the recovery goes faster,” said John van ‘t Schip, who will leave the Amsterdam team at the end of the season.

Brian Brobbey will also most likely have to pass up De Klassieker. The Ajax striker injured his hamstring during the match against Sparta and will be sidelined for a few more weeks. Sutalo and Berghuis are not available for the difficult away match against PEC Zwolle next Sunday. It is still unclear whether they will be able to play a week later, against Feyenoord.
