Max Verstappen has been linked with a possible transfer to Mercedes in recent weeks. It was a result of the unrest within the Red Bull Racing team. Günther Steiner has also read these stories, but he does not expect Verstappen to leave.

Verstappen has a long-term contract with Red Bull, but many rumors emerged about a possible departure. The reason for this was the unrest within Red Bull and Jos Verstappen’s strong criticism of Christian Horner. Max Verstappen remained calm and stated in Australia that he intends to simply serve out his contract with Red Bull.

Peace

The stories did create many new rumors. Former Haas team boss Günther Steiner is following the situation closely and told Sky Sports what he thinks about it: “I think it has been a bit quieter within the Red Bull team lately. That won’t make it any easier to deal with. contract. Of course we don’t know exactly what is in that contract, but I don’t think there is a better team to drive for at the moment.”

Mercedes

Steiner thinks that Verstappen will not leave Red Bull. The Italian thinks that he will certainly not leave if personal relations get back on track. But if Verstappen does leave, Steiner only sees one real contender to sign him: “I think everyone in Formula 1 is currently interested in Max. It’s more about what he wants. Mercedes has a spot available, because Lewis is leaving for Ferrari. Aston Martin is a possibility, but I think it will be Mercedes if Max goes somewhere.”
