Huawei has announced the Watch FIT 3, as the successor to the Watch FIT 2. The third version has a slightly larger screen, with a similar, rectangular design. Huawei also says it has improved the software. The Watch FIT 3 will be released in May in the Netherlands and Belgium.

The Huawei Watch FIT 3 has a 1.82″ AMOLED screen with a resolution of 480×408 pixels. The FIT 2 had a 1.74″ screen with a resolution of 480×336 pixels. Huawei says the FIT 3’s screen measures 35.1×29.9mm and has a pixel density of 347ppi. The device is 9.9mm thick and weighs 26 grams; This makes the Watch FIT 3 the lightest and thinnest Watch FIT smartwatch, Huawei claims.

The smartwatch has a 400mAh battery that offers a battery life of up to 10 days. The smartwatch also has GPS and Galileo support and the wearable has an acceleration and gravity sensor, but no barometer, body temperature sensor or heart rhythm sensor. The smartwatch supports Bluetooth 5.2

Huawei says it has upgraded the Stay Fit app, which includes expanding the food database to cover more countries and regions and adding a new nutritional analysis function. The watch also gets the Smart Sports feature, which can recommend exercises based on user habits and weather conditions. Furthermore, the watch is said to have a better sleep scoring system and can measure blood oxygen levels better. The Watch FIT 3 can now be pre-ordered in the Netherlands and will be available in Belgium from May 22.
