Brouwerij ‘t Drankorgel: gold for Witte Kraag Tripel in Barcelona

The award ceremony of the Barcelona Beer Awards took place in Barcelona. Ivan Geudens from brewery ‘t Drankorgel won a prize with one of his custom beers. Ivan is the brewer of Vals Paterke, with which he also won prizes in Barcelona just before corona.

Now he had taken his chance at the request of the Witte Kragen, a beer tasting association from Dilsen-Stokkem for which he has been brewing for years. He submitted both the “Witte Kraag Tripel” and their newest beer “Den Diene en de Miene”.

It was with the Tripel that they achieved GOLD in Barcelona. The “Belgian Tripel” category is traditionally one in Barcelona with many participants. Ivan and the Witte Kragen were very proud that their Tripel received a gold medal.

Ivan went to collect the prize in Barcelona together with the Witte Kragen.

The Witte Kraag Tripel is the first beer that Ivan Geudens brewed for the Witte Kraag. In the meantime, it has been drunk in Dilsen-Stokkem for many years. It is a triple of 9%. Den Diene en de Miene is new since last year.

That is a blond beer of 6.5%. Unfortunately, the beers from the Witte Kragen can only be tasted in Dilsen-Stokkem. Can be tasted every Sunday in July and August from 10 am to 2 pm at the Smokkelmarkt in Stokkem (Dilsen-Stokkem).
