The Norwegian royal family posts a nice Easter greeting on their Instagram. The photo shows the royal couple together with the family of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit. King Harald shows his face for the first time after his hospitalization.

The Norwegian royal family has gathered to celebrate Easter together, they announced on their Instagram account. On social media, the Norwegian court shares a family photo showing King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and their two children Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Sverre Magnus. It has been a while since a photo of the entire family has been published, because Crown Princess Mette-Marit is missing from the 2023 Christmas card.

Happy Easter!

“The royal family wishes everyone a happy Easter,” the post said. The royal couple and the crown prince’s family are together at Bygdø Kongsgård at the beginning of Easter week. An estate covering much of the northwestern part of Oslo’s Bygdøy Peninsula. It is the official summer residence of the King of Norway.

Back in the spotlight for the first time

King Harald shows his face again for the first time since contracting an infection in Malaysia and subsequently receiving a permanent pacemaker. The Norwegian king is recovering from the operation and is on sick leave until at least Easter. His son Crown Prince Haakon will take over his duties in the meantime. For example, last weekend he took part in a practice rescue operation with his wife Mette-Marit.
