The Provincial Executive warns in a letter to outgoing Housing Minister De Jonge that they cannot comply with this as long as the preconditions for the housing deals are not met.
According to the provincial government, an investment of 1 billion euros is required to meet the conditions of the residential goals. In addition, half of the homes are at risk of not being able to be connected to the electricity grid.
Traffic will also come to a standstill if no investments are made in the accessibility of the regions where the homes are planned. These preconditions are included in the six Gelderland housing deals.
