Martijn Krabbendam expects that Arne Slot will ultimately earn Feyenoord between ten and fifteen million euros. The current coach of the Rotterdam team is in the concrete interest of Liverpool and said on Thursday evening prior to the meeting with Go Ahead Eagles (1-3 win) that the clubs are currently in discussions with each other. Krabbendam is counting on the parties reaching an agreement and Slot becoming Jürgen Klopp’s successor.
“He himself left no doubt about it. A good offer has been received from Liverpool and he has a very good feeling that Feyenoord and Liverpool will find each other. Who knows, tomorrow”Krabbendam said in front of the camera on Thursday evening after the match in Deventer Football International. “That’s going to be fine.” So it’s not over yet, but things have to go really crazy if the marriage between Feyenoord and Slot doesn’t end after three seasons. The successful coach seemed to be on his way to the Premier League last year, but a move to Tottenham Hotspur ultimately did not happen.

The club from North London was certainly not the only one that welcomed Slot’s arrival last year. A Spanish club was interested”Krabbendam sums up. “But last year the moment had not yet arrived and he decided to stay another year. Krabbendam understands ‘very well’ that Slot is looking for a departure and according to the club watcher, if a trainer wants to leave and he can actually leave, it is an ‘ABC’ and ‘it will happen’. According to the reporter, the only question now is how Feyenoord will approach this. “Are they going to stretch this to the max to get a few million extra out of it or will they opt for an elegant solution? That’s just asking for a good transfer fee for this trainer and giving him a grand farewell”says Krabbendam, who expects that Liverpool will ultimately pay deep for the arrival of Slot. “I think an amount between ten and fifteen million euros”that’s what it sounds like.
Slot has a contract with Feyenoord until mid-2026. The Rotterdammers can therefore ask whatever they want. Tottenham Hotspur was reportedly told last year that it was only possible to discuss an amount of at least fifteen million euros.
