Matej Mohoric had been dreaming of the Tour of Flanders and/or Paris-Roubaix for six months, but the Monuments of the Slovenian of Bahrain Victorious are in danger of falling into the water. He did not complete the High Mass after a nasty fall, which also makes him uncertain about participating in Paris-Roubaix.

His team Bahrain Victorious has announced that further investigations will be carried out into the condition of the leader in the coming days, with a view to his possible participation in Paris-Roubaix. Normally Mohoric also moves on to the Walloon classics.
Fred Wright was allowed to pick the chestnuts out of the fire in the leader’s absence. He was the only finisher on behalf of Bahrain Victorious, in fifty place.
