Nearly a hundred people are still missing after last week’s attack on a concert hall in Krasnogorsk, a Moscow suburb. This was reported by the Russian Telegram channel Baza. According to Baza, there are 95 people on lists drawn up by emergency services based on calls from people about missing relatives. These people would not appear on the authorities’ lists of injured and dead.

On social media, including in the Telegram channel ‘Crocus Help Center’, friends and relatives share calls with details of missing loved ones.

On Friday, heavily armed men entered the Crocus City Hall concert hall, where a concert by the Russian band Picnic was about to begin. The gunmen opened fire on the concertgoers. The perpetrators also set off explosives, causing a large part of the building to catch fire. The attack was claimed by ISIS-K, a branch of the Islamic State terrorist group.

Russian authorities today published a new list of fatalities. The death toll has now risen to 143, of whom 84 have been identified. So some of the missing could be among the unidentified bodies.

Due to the fire that raged in the building after the attack, it would be difficult to identify the remains. It is possible that some of the missing are still alive, but for some reason have not made contact with their families, Baza wrote. Yesterday Baza reported that dozens of bodies were still buried under the rubble.
