In this new book called ‘Peep….from the red neighborhood’, Peter describes not only his childhood in Wassenaar, but also the history of the families of his father and mother. The Knijnenburg and van Leeuwen families. The book is interspersed with historical photos of both these families and Wassenaar.

In addition, a lot is told about the friends from the ‘red neighborhood’, the games that were played by the children at that time and the mischief they got up to.

It has become a voluminous book of 465 pages and it is a feast of recognition for the readers.

In his speech of thanks, Mayor De Lange said that it would be great if the younger generations would also read this book.

Peter then donated an amount of €1000 to CliniClowns, the organization that tries to put a smile on the faces of people in difficult situations. Peter Knijnenburg is also trying to achieve the same with his latest book.

The book ‘Peep…from the red neighborhood’ is available at Bruna bookstore and costs €24.95
