Wilfred Genee scores with this week Veronica Offside again ‘dramatically’ few viewers, reports viewing figures guru Tina Nijkamp in her podcast Tina’s TV Update. Only 134,000 people tuned in to last Monday’s broadcast, in which Jan Boskamp, Dick Advocaat and Wim Kieft were at the table.
Since last week, Genee’s football talk show is no longer before, but after, scoring well as usual Today Inside broadcast. “Monday 8:30 PM is one of the most hotly contested slots of the week with a lot of popular programs,” Nijkamp writes on her Instagram Stories. “At 9:30 p.m. the loot has been the same for months and also divided: VI wins with 1,072,000 viewers and a market share of 21.8 percent in the 25 to 54 age category.”

However, Genee does not come close to achieving those numbers with his football talk show. “Veronica Offside remains a major concern,” says Nijkamp. “It also had a dramatic score yesterday with only 134,000 viewers and the same market share as last week, 5.2 percent. Far too little, and he has even been overtaken by a repeat of Bed & Breakfastwhich is on NPO1 at 8:30 p.m., will even have a few thousand more viewers.”
“It’s just a drama,” continues the former SBS program director. Nijkamp therefore remains gloomy Offside: “Whether it will return next year? I actually suspect that the sponsor will go to De Oranjezondag. That does score well. And I think we will continue to see that in the autumn at 9.30 pm on SBS, for a very large part of the year. So that would mean that the end is practice for Veronica Offside“, concludes Nijkamp.
