Although photos of the ‘improved’ Sleeping Beauty are circulating on April 1, the Efteling spokesperson assures that the adjustments are no joke. “No, it is indeed true that the breasts have become slightly larger. We just didn’t expect it to be so noticeable.”
Still striking
Sleeping Beauty Castle was closed in the Fairytale Forest for months for maintenance. The renovation was intended to ensure that the sleeping resident would look more like Anton Pieck’s original drawing. “With this new cup size, it should look more like the sketch he once made. She also got a little longer hair and we moved a curtain.”

The fairy tale Sleeping Beauty has been an important attraction since the Efteling was founded. During the renovation, Efteling made the fairy tale more sustainable by replacing the old lighting with LED lighting. In addition, the stones of the path to the castle have been replaced.
