The head is off at the Euro Hockey League in Amstelveen. Pinoké was the first Dutch team to qualify for the last four on Thursday. We might get three more semi-finalists today. The matches of the ladies of SCHC and Amsterdam and the Kampong men can all be seen live on nos.nl and the broadcaster’s app.

Day two of the EHL has a very strong Dutch flavor. A big league team will play in no fewer than three of the four matches. At 3:30 PM SCHC will be the first team from our country to take action. Lucas Judge’s team plays against Belgian Gantoise. This is not only the number four of the 2021/2022 EHL year, but also the team that has claimed the title in Belgium for the last three years. Gantoise is also currently leading the rankings among our southern neighbors.

Then, at 5.45 pm, it is the turn of the Kampong men. They also play their quarter-final against Gantoise. The Utrecht team does this without international Terrance Pieters. The attacker was injured last week in the semi-final of the Gold Cup against Tilburg (4-2 win). Further investigation revealed that he has damaged a ligament in his knee, which means that he will miss the EHL in any case.

The ladies of Amsterdam close the EHL day. They will do so at 8 p.m. against East Grinstead, from England. The British women are making their debut in the EHL, after winning their very first national title last season. The team from the south of England has four international players in its ranks, including striker Ellie Rayer and Tess Howard.

All matches of this match day can of course also be viewed on the Euro Hockey League website.
Program EHL day 2:

3:30 PM SCHC vs Gantoise (Women, quarter-final)
5.45 pm Gantoise HC vs Kampong (Men, quarter-final)
8 p.m Amsterdam vs East Grinstead (Women, quarter-final)
