NEC expects to have sold all tickets for the KNVB Cup final against Feyenoord in the short term. This means that the Nijmegen club can count on the support of a full Willem van Hanegem stand on Sunday, April 21.

Just like Feyenoord, NEC has been given 17,500 tickets for the final battle. While the Legion is still waiting for ticket sales, the surprising co-finalist already started selling tickets among her supporters a week ago.

NEC is doing everything it can to sell the allocated tickets and is now approaching the ‘sold out’ sign. The club reports today that there are still 1,500 tickets available. The number of tickets already sold is well above the average occupancy rate in De Goffert stadium, which indicates that the final battle of the cup tournament is alive and well in Nijmegen and the surrounding area. Many supporters, fans and sympathizers have applied for a club card in recent days to have the opportunity to buy a ticket. Reaching the cup final is seen as a unique event, where many people decide to experience NEC’s operations up close for one day.

Feyenoord
The Legion views the Nijmegen ticket sales with mixed feelings, where everyone still has the opportunity to get a ticket after a sales week. As a finalist, Feyenoord has also been allocated 17,500 tickets. However, this number will be far from sufficient to meet the great interest. It is expected that there will be a run on available tickets as soon as they go on sale, after which the ‘sold out’ sign can be hung almost immediately.
